About Jurong East

Jurong East (裕廊东) is the station town most first-timers actually see. Jurong East MRT (EW24/NS1) dumps you into JEM, Westgate, and the link to IMM. Science Centre Singapore is about eight minutes on foot. One stop west is Lakeside Garden. URA Jurong Lake District plan sits on this belt: offices, housing, and the lake as a civic front, not another suburban mall cluster. JRL Stage 1 is now targeted around mid-2028. Until then the East-West / North-South interchange is the whole story. Use this row for the neighbourhood. JEM, Westgate, and IMM stay malls. Science Centre and Jurong Lake Gardens stay attractions. Yuhua Village hawker is the lunch that is not a food court.
