Masjid Assyakirin

Masjid Assyakirin (阿西雅吉林清真寺) is the Taman Jurong mosque at 550 Yung An Road. MUIS lists it as one of the older Mosque Building Fund masjids. The first building opened in 1978 for Muslims in Jurong. The rebuild reopened on 27 December 2002 and holds about 5,000 worshippers, double the old hall. Friday, Ramadan, and Hari Raya are the community peaks. It is a Social Development Mosque with zakat collection, aLIVE classes, and barrier-free access. Phone 6268 1846. Email assyakirin@assyakirin.mosque.org.sg. Walk it with Taman Jurong Market. Visitors should dress for a working mosque. This is not Sultan Mosque on a tourist map.
