Defence Collective Festival 2026 at Singapore Discovery Centre

Singapore Discovery Centre sits on Upper Jurong Road with a lake in front of it. That is the Jurong stop for Defence Collective Festival 2026. 14 and 15 November, 10am to 6pm. Second year. The festival also lists the Navy Museum and the Air Force Museum. This page stays at 新加坡发现中心. Joo Koon, then the galleries.

Citizens and permanent residents already walk the SDC galleries free. Kids under 6 of any nationality are free too. The festival adds a gallery riddle trail, and an outdoor Clean Our Waters activity if the weather holds. The official line is short: notice what matters, then do your bit. Haze or rain can kill the outdoor slot. The Centre's own site already flags outdoor programmes when the PSI climbs. Do not build the day around the water activity.

The All-Access Pass is $10 after the $5 early bird ended on 13 October. That pass is a stamp-collecting booklet, a tote bag, tote customisation once the stamps are in, and the exclusive activities at all three museums. You pick which museum you collect the booklet from when you buy. SDC's exclusive is Clean Our Waters. The Navy and Air Force exclusives are drone rescue and an air-supply mission. Skip the pass if you only want the free stage and drop-in programmes at SDC. The shop says those stay open without a ticket.

The galleries you actually walk

Through the Lens of Time is the tunnel most people photograph. It runs from early maritime Singapore through the war years and the first decades of the republic, then hands you to Sandbox for the present tense. Festival copy says the SDC gallery experience is riddles plus the people who built the place, from the first defenders to the later builders. Regular weekday hours are 12pm to 6pm, last entry 5.30pm. Weekends, public holidays and school-term holidays are 11am to 7pm, last entry 6.30pm. Festival days overwrite that to 10am to 6pm.

Singapore Volunteer Corps gallery at Singapore Discovery Centre, Jurong

The giant Volunteer Corps boot is further in, not a festival prop. Black Lake, laser tag and paintball are regular paid attractions on the same plot. They are not the festival headline. SingaPaw Saturdays are on a break. Do not come for the mascot this weekend.

Getting here is the far-west grind. Joo Koon MRT (EW29), then about ten minutes on foot or bus 182 / 182M. 510 Upper Jurong Road, Singapore 638365. If you came this far, Potter's Garden and Thow Kwang sit further into Jurong Innovation District. That is a second stop, not a substitute for the festival. Festival questions go to festival@defencecollectivesg.com. SDC itself is contact_sdc@defencecollectivesg.com.

A pass that needs stamps from all three museums is a west-plus-travel product. Navy Museum and Air Force Museum are not in Jurong. If you are staying in the west, walk the SDC galleries and skip the pass. If you want the tote and the exclusive outdoor slot, buy the pass and collect the booklet at SDC so the Jurong stop is your start, not an afterthought.

Buy on the Defence Collective shop if you want the stamps. Walk in if you do not. The lake in front of the white roof is why this belongs on a Jurong Saturday, not because another mall put up a booth.
