Spent $215 for treatment and medicine but NOTHING was fixed. I strained a muscle on my back and decided to seek Chinese Medical treatment because I thought it would work better rather than relying on the western muscle relaxant approach. First time here at Eu Yan Sang because its a famous brand and that should be the start of my regret. Started with a consultation - $25 - ok fine. Reasonable. At the reception area, the staff did inform me that Acupuncture, Tuina, Cupping (I believe those are the common procedures) starts from $40 - 60 each - even though the price list she pointed to printed $30 - 60. Then she also mention that medicine comes in only powder form and start from $12 a day and the price list stated $11. Fine, I accepted and decided to proceed because I trust that they were a trusted brand and my condition could be resolved after the treatments. When the treatment start, the physician just added on the treatment list that he thinks is appropriate. First, he told me that acupuncture is necessary and tuina was not quite suitable, so ok, we proceed. At the treatment room, he decided to inform me that he will add in cupping as well. 5-7 needles for acupunture - $60 4 cupping cups - $60 I have no idea how it was being calculate that reached the maximum amount of both treatments, given that it is only a small area on my back, left shoulder, not the full body. Including the medicine they charged me for 5 days at $13.20/day, that's how the bill came to that shocking amount of $215.73 inclusive of consultation. Whole thing lasted for 1h10mins. But after a good 3 days, MY BACK MUSCLES STILL HURTS, like I have never been to the treat AT ALL. This is what frustrates me because this is the first time I have been charged so much for TCM just because I trusted a brand name and wanted to heal. I should have gone to neighbourhood TCM clinics that has well reputation and probably not get robbed blatantly in broad daylight. Much regret, thus the super negative review and urge others to think thrice before you visit. Thanks.
