Taman Jurong hawker stall serving flavourful Sarawak kolo mee with springy noodles and sweet char siew.
JJ Sarawak Noodle at Taman Jurong Market and Food Centre is a hidden gem that brings the beloved flavours of East Malaysia to western Singapore. This humble stall specialises in kolo mee, the iconic Sarawakian dry noodle dish featuring springy, lightly seasoned noodles tossed in a savoury sauce and topped with sweet caramelised char siew, minced pork, and fried shallots. The result is a bowl of comfort that transports diners straight to the kopitiams of Kuching with every bite. The stall keeps hours from early morning through the late afternoon, serving both dine-in and takeaway customers from the bustling hawker centre. Regulars praise the full-bodied flavour of the noodles and the satisfying chew that indicates proper preparation technique. Fried wantons and other side orders round out a simple, focused menu that does one thing exceptionally well rather than spreading itself thin. Seek out JJ Sarawak Noodle in Taman Jurong for an authentic taste of Sarawak without leaving Singapore. In a city saturated with generic noodle stalls, this one stands out for its regional specificity and genuine commitment to the flavours that make kolo mee a Malaysian national treasure.Based on 191 Google reviews

Sarawak laksa and kolo meet taste good, but kolo mee is slightly salty. Sarawak laksa looks spicy but not spicy at all. Portion is small especially for the kolo mee. We ordered the larger size for both bowls. Kolo mee is priced at $4/$5 and Sarawak laksa is priced at $5/$6. Do give this a try!

Very good kolo mee but we felt the laksa was better. We think we will give the fried wanton a miss next time. Cheap but it’s really only good for people who like to just eat wanton skin.
